Build Explanation

Prest Changes and Overview

Compared to CBT1, the Prest class has seen some nerfs, though the exact extent is unclear. The Burst specialization has been most affected. While easy to learn and highly mobile, the Prest doesn't excel in damage output, functioning more as a semi-DPS. The class's ranged nature makes it adaptable in dungeons, allowing for quick reactions and less damage taken.

Role in PvP and PvE

Prest lacks crit buffs, resulting in stable but less impressive damage. In PvP, the introduction of ranks makes healing in the damage stance less viable due to low output and rapid mana depletion. Additionally, the Prest's crowd control abilities are limited compared to other classes; their only stun has a low chance to trigger and a short duration. However, their mana burn ability offers a unique advantage in the arena (if mana potions were unavailable).

Gameplay Specifics

The Prest's gameplay revolves around stacking sigils (which can be done before combat). In Battleground PvP, the burst style shines, releasing a powerful combo every 30 seconds (4-3-2-2, with five pre-stacked sigils).

In PvE (following CBT2), a DoT build is preferred until reaching around 25% Combo. The goal is to discharge sigils when the target is afflicted with the Trial of Torment DoT. A sample rotation involves pre-stacking five sigils, followed by 6+4-3-2-2-1-1-2 etc. Talents streamline the build by casting extra sigils. The key is to use 2-2 immediately after 3 when the target has the 6-second DoT.

The Burst build becomes superior in DPS around the 25% Combo mark, focusing on 4-3-2 combos. Ideally, cast the fourth skill with five sigils, allowing for 4-3-2-1-2 rotation (if lucky with procs) or 4-3-2-1-1-2 (if unlucky).
